1. The size of the spot after the laser beam passes through the focus
The smaller the laser beam spot, the higher the cutting accuracy, especially the smaller the slit, the smallest spot can reach 0.01mm.
2, the positioning accuracy of the worktable determines the repeatability of the cutting
The higher the precision of the table, the higher the cutting precision.
3. The greater the thickness of the workpiece, the lower the accuracy and the larger the slit.
Because the laser beam is tapered, the slit is also tapered. The thickness of 0.3mm stainless steel is much smaller than the slit of 2mm.
4. The material of the workpiece has a certain influence on the accuracy of laser cutting.
In the same situation, stainless steel has a higher cutting accuracy than aluminum, and the cut surface is smoother.
The cutting quality of laser cutting machine is good. The incision width is narrow (generally 0.1--0.5mm), high accuracy (generally the hole center distance error is 0.1--0.4mm, the contour size error is 0.1--0.5mm), and the incision surface roughness is good (generally Ra is 12.5--25μm) ), the cut seam generally does not need to be processed again and can be welded.

Suitable for laser cutting metal:
1, carbon steel:
Modern laser cutting system can cut carbon steel plate with a maximum thickness of close to 20mm, and the slit for thin plate can be as narrow as about 0.1mm. The heat affected zone of laser cutting low carbon steel is extremely small, and the cutting surface is flat, smooth, and the verticality is good. For high-carbon steel, the laser cutting edge quality is better than that of low-carbon steel, but its heat-affected zone is larger. The maximum cutting depth of our company's AHL series laser machine is 5mm.
2, stainless steel:
Laser cutting is easier to cut stainless steel sheet. With the high-power YAG laser cutting system, the maximum thickness of stainless steel can be cut up to 4mm. The low-power YAG laser cutting system developed by us can cut stainless steel with a thickness of up to 4mm.
3, alloy steel:
Most alloy steels can be cut by laser, and the cutting edge quality is good. However, tool steels and hot mold steels with high tungsten content will have corrosion and slag during laser cutting.
4. Aluminum and alloys:
Aluminum cutting belongs to melting cutting, and auxiliary gas is added to blow away the molten material in the cutting area, and a better cut surface quality can be obtained. At present, the maximum thickness of cut aluminum plate is 1.5mm.
5. Other metal materials:
Copper is not suitable for laser cutting, and the cut is very thin. Most of titanium, titanium alloy and nickel alloy can be cut by laser.
6. Non-metallic materials:
The laser can cut organic materials such as plastics (polymers), rubber, wood, paper products, leather, and natural and synthetic fabrics; it can also cut inorganic materials such as quartz and ceramics, as well as composite materials such as new lightweight reinforced fiber polymers.
